I’m fascinated by anything made of fabric and have a particular interest in fashion history. The purpose of this site is to document works in progress, research into fashion history and to share my general love of textiles. I’m always up for learning a new skill and am trying my hand at Bobbin Lace at the moment. I am currently a 2nd year student on the MPhil Textile Conservation programme at the University of Glasgow.
In March 2014 I was made a QEST Scholar to support my Textile Conservation training. In June 2014 I was also awarded a bursary from The York Foundation of Conservation and Craftsmanship to further assist with this training. In January 2015 The McGlashlan Charitable Trust also awarded a bursary to help with my second year at Glasgow. I was awarded a Zibby Garnett Travelling Fellowship in March 2015 to support a summer placement abroad. I am extremely grateful for everyone’s support.
